U10 Boys Football vs Hunnyhill
Newport are through to the semi-finals after a brilliant 3-0 win away to Hunnyhill. From the start, they passed the ball well and controlled the game with clever teamwork and great energy.
The first goal came after some excellent passing and a cool finish. At half time the team discussed it was difficult to get past hunnyhill as they were defending brillianty. The boys decided that a change of plan might help them breakdown hunnyhill. The plan to pass the ball and use the wide spaces to create more space seemed to work as another 2 goals were added giving us a healthy lead.
Newport's defence stayed strong, and the whole team worked hard from the start to finish. It was a confident, exciting performance and a well deserved victory.

U9 Girls Football vs Carisbrooke
Newport secured a brilliant win against rivals Carisbrooke as we walked away 2-0 winners in a tightly contested match. Both teams played with great effort and determination, but it was Newport's teamwork, discipline, and hard work that proved the difference.
Lots of chances fell for both teams but neither team could hit the back of the net. The second half started just like the first with lots of chances but most of them falling to Newport, it was only a matter of time before Newport were rewarded for all the hard work they had put in. The reward came as Newport scored a well deserved goal which sent the Newport fans crazy. A second goal followed not long after which sealed a fantastic win.
Big thank you to all the supporters watching it was brilliant to see so many adults and pupils cheering on and encouraging from the side it really helped the girls.
Another win for this team who keep improving more and more every game they play together, a proud performance well done girls!!!!
